Guy I was wondering the same thing as modelmaniac about the dump trailer. It looks like one of Jean-Paul’s customs.

modelmaniac and Steve,
The dump trailer was originally built by Jean-Francois from scratch and his model later passed to MiniCams to be used as a master for their Trailor tipping unit. Therefore difficult to identify clearly who is the "author" of that particular one.

modelmaniac and Steve, I had a clarification from Jean-Jacques, who owns the semi-trailer: its tipping body was a MiniCams item, fitted by Jean-Francois on a modified MiniCams chassis. Regards. Guy

Steve Steve, Both bulk trailers were originally Minitrucks kits, I think:  The one on the left was built by Jean-Jacques, who added the tank at front. The other one was built by Jean-Francois, who improved the basic kit with things like the folding safety ramp and opening manholes on top... Quite often, when the tractor was not equipped with air compression means, that type of semi-trailer was fitted with a motor-driven air compressor at front to be used during discharging operations:   Except if it was representing such a device, I have no idea what could be the use of the red "tank": I'll inquire and let you know. Steve, Jean-Jacques indicated to me that he replicated the bulk trailer shown on the picture below:  The rational for this extra tank on trailer neck remains unclear: increase in 6x2/4 tractor limited fuel capacity? Fuel source for a motor-driven air compressor not visible at the back? No definitive answer, so far. I hope this helps. Guy

When Drake Collectibles introduced their Mack F700, the model was displayed together with a heavy duty long wheelbase unit:  But the model produced by WSI was based on their conventional chassis model, fitted with a right hand drive, a bull bar, etc. Jean-Paul turned to Jean-Francois to upgrade his model:    Regards.   John Deere 8430 4x4/2 forest tractor fitted with Ritter front and rear winches and a Palfinger PK 11502 knuckleboom crane (modified Siku model and element) skidding 2 oak trunks of 3.62 tonnes (homemade)   Regards. Guy

Guy: I LOVE the stretch job on the Mack. Dual tanks on one side and that huge tool box make it look great> If I hadn't had surgery and now a bad foot, I would do it on mine. If I had a friend who could do it and get a cool lowboy in exchange, it would be nice. But alas, I can't think of a Bluebelly with such skills. Great pictures. Keep them coming.

I thought for a long time that Land Rover models produced by Corgi Toys early 60s were made a 1/43 scale. "The Great Book of Corgi" indicates that this model was in a 1/46 scale but some precise measurements on a model convinced me of a scale closer to 1/48 (I found in fact 1/47 for wheelbase and overall length, 1/48 for width and 1/49 for height). The models I had have therefore gone back to the workshop for modifications:   From left to right, the 3 models being modified: - Land Rover 109 Series II and Rice Trailers Pony 2-axle horsebox, - Land Rover 109 Series II, - Land Rover 109 Series II and Rice Trailers Beaufort Treble 2-axle horsebox. One of the two Rice Trailers horseboxes modeled by Corgi, the Pony van designed to carry 1 horse only:   Land Rover 109 Series II 4x4/2 pick-up car and Rice Trailers Pony 2-axle horsebox (modified Corgi models, to be repainted) loaded with 1 horse (Corgi model)  To be continued. Guy
