Gents, Even if this modification is not part of the "3J&G Collection", I thought that it was worth posting it(*) here, as we never see such rigs on "this side of the pond":  Note (*): the Conrad Freightliner was stretched to 28' long by Steve ("Exkvate 3140"). He apparently built a similar one for Craig ("Quinella"), but with a 34' stretch. Happy Easter to all members of this forum and... keep safe! Guy

Guy great dirt shots, I love that the Conrad International 560B but those handrails fall off every time I look at it.

We're back in UK in the 60s/70s with 2 British Railways road transports:   - On the left: Albion Reiver RE 25 AN 6x4/2 flatbed truck (Corgi model) loaded with 15 wooden crates (Corgi load), - on the right: Foden 4AXB6/32 4x2/2 tractor and 2-axle flatbed Boden semi-trailer (Corgi models) carrying an early LM&SR Type BD railroad container (Corgi load). The Albion Reiver was normally sold by Corgi with what British Railways called a "demountable non-wheeled tank":  The problem I have is that, should the tank be in a 1/50 scale, then it would have an approx. capacity of 16.33m3 (or 3250 gal): this does not seem in line, neither with the load value indicated on the model (8 tons), nor with the maximum volume transported in those tanks (up to approx. 1000 gal), as per the B.R. advert below:  Any information on that type of BR mobile tank container is therefore welcome in order to finally decide on its real scale. A third Corgi Toys Dodge Kew Fargo model being modified. This one should end carrying cattle for a Texas ranch:   Dodge D 500 4x2/2 truck fitted with a Parkhurst cattle carrier body (Corgi model being modified) loading a Texas Longhorn ox (Minicirque kit to be painted)   Regards. Guy

Guy those older Dodge trucks had a slight resemblance to the GMC and Chevy of the same time period, nice post forgot about thoseDodge trucks.

Steve Steve, Both dropside tipper and skate body versions were produced by Corgi Toys:  As far as I remember, the skate model carried, either pigs (farming version) or an elephant (as part of a TV series "Daktari" gift set). I hope this helps. Guy
