Model cars in a 1/50 scale are so few that it's worth mentioning this one found recently on a British sales site for a very low price (*):   Note (*): Welly, producer of that BMW 535i 4x2/2 car, indicated a 1/43 scale on its box; the seller claimed a 1/50 scale and was displaying the model along a ruler: some more precise measurements when I received it show... a true 1/48 scale! Guy great find on the 1/48 Bemmer. Also could you shed some light on the the ten wheeler with the yellow generator in the back, it looks like a real heavy duty truck, I like it.

Steve The correct spelling for the slang version of a BMW automobile is "Bimmer", not "Bemmer" or "Beamer". The "Bemmer" or "Beamer" spelling is for BMW motorcycles. I'm sure you just misspelled it because you drive a Vespa. I just kicked ass on a M6 BMW last week. And the 10 wheeler appears to be just a Conrad Talbert, three axle lowboy with a European tractor. Leave the trucks to the big boys there bluebelly!!!

Steve, I suppose that you mean that truck above: it is a Berliet GBC8 6x6 "Gazelle", developed in the sixties for the French Army in the Algerian desert. That was a light all-wheel drive truck, able to run easily in sandy deserts with 5 tonnes maximum payload, hence its nickname Gazelle. More than 30000 units were produced, in various versions, with a "M" or "M2"cab like here or with the 8KT torpedo-type cab. In the nineties, units still available in the French Army were overhauled (to minimize costs of a new military truck program) by Renault into GBC 180s and fitted with a 180hp engine, replacing the original Berliet 125hp one. Guy again please don’t pay any attention to the “big boy” who obviously has no clue between a generator and a well drilling rig, and where he came up with the Talbert trailer, no one on this forum will ever know. The only thing I can say is that it must be tough to be as old as The Q, God bless him and his drooling. Also I thought that bemmer was a motorcycle just a little mix up like the generator and the well drilling rig you Tarheel excuse me very old Tarheel.

Well St. Louis fan, you said background and yellow. So I looked at the 10 wheeler pulling the Talbert lowboy. A Renault huh? Now back to Golden State beating Toronto. Is there a Hockey team in Rhode Island, oh yes, the Bullhockeys. Charlotte just won the American League Championship hockey cup. Guy; your trucks are neat. They are so beefy looking. Guy: The IH Xl trucks are pretty cool. They are beefy looking and made well. I cannot say the same about the lowboys. They are a little cheesy. Outriggers do not work, but it's the first truck with both jeep and stinger since Alan Smith. Of course the DCP 1/64 trucks have them and they are great. CAW
