Steve,

I agree, my background helped a lot: I studied (long ago!!!) chemical engineering, basically to define, engineer and design any kind of industrial chemical and O&G plant for its required service.
I didn't expect at that time to use it one day in the 1:50 modelling world, though.

Regards.

The Transports Brame heavy haulage combination, made of a Scania R580 6x4/2 tractor and a Nooteboom Euro 99-24ID 4-axle lowloader semi-trailer with 2-line integrated dolly (WSI models). It carries the Sennebogen 5500 Star Lifter lattice tracked crane superstructure and chassis (40 tonnes) with the base plate and counterweight slabs of 13.3 + 4x4.8 tonnes in addition (elements of a Conrad model):

Guy your education most definitely paid off, and I’m guessing it did with your real job also. How were those cement bags made, those look as good as all the customized models. Again your team does some great work.
Thanks
Steve

Graig,

Many thanks for your positive comments, even if I don't fully agree with you: I do prefer my Sunters heavy haulage set (DAF van + Nicolas Tractomas tow truck + Titan GmbH ballasted pusher + 2 Nicolas modular trailers moving a Beaird refinery column) posted long ago.

Steve,

They simply started from real bag pictures, reduced to 1/50 scale in numerous paper sets, which were glued to the different sides of all homemade cement bags.

Regards.
Guy

Guy thanks for the reply it’s amazing how much realism the diorama gets with those cement bags being placed on top of the sand load, a scene you see daily on construction sites. The small details really make it come alive.

Guy that last carrier is really nice, that is really neat how it moves in three different ways. Have never seen a trailer like that before, was there any customizing on that or did you put right into action out of the box? You have some interesting models.
