Steve,

Sisu is a Finnish truck fabrication company, which was established in 1931: https://sisuauto.com/en/
They used to mount on their trucks slightly modified cabs from others: British for some time, Renault from 1997 and Mercedes-Benz ones these days.
The Renault/Sisu deal supposed that Renault were selling their Premium/Kerax cabs to Sisu and that they were offering heavy tractors from Finland through their sales network, as they had given-up the 100+ tonnes end of their range.
These units went to some heavy haulage French companies (Millon, Masso, EDF-Setral for example), as well as to some timber transport companies and to the French Army to tow heavy plant equipment transport semi-trailers.
The deal broke as Renault was acquired by the Volvo Group (that's why Sisu turned to Mercedes-Benz) and these tractors are no longer imported in France, through Renault at least.

I hope it helps.

Guy thanks for the answer. Renault also owned Mack at the time when Volvo bought them, so that was back in the early 2000’s when these companies broke their deal. It certainly is a small world.

Steve,

Sisu production numbers are limited (the Finnish market being pretty small). Since mid-2016, they offer a heavy haulage 8x4 truck in their Polar series, called the Hauler:

Note that the rear driven axle can be lifted when running empty, a specificity of the Scandinavian market. The Polar is also available as a timber truck:
