Guy great pictures of the diorama prep, a lot of time and money goes into that set up. Is it set up in up in one of their homes or an office?

Steve, Dios are built in Denis' attic, therefore impossible to move afterwards. For large pieces (like LorraMine main workshop below), he used his son's telehandler to lift them to its flat roof/terrace, where there is an access door to that room:    I hope it helps. Guy

LorraMine dio building (continued). Denis molded approx. 550 "rock pieces", homemade from"rocks" found in a local railway swapmeet:    To be continued. Guy

Each piece of the jig-saw is installed to verify the overall look, then cut to exact size to fit perfectly:   When OK, the "rocks" are glued in position with joints hidden with plaster:  To be continued. Guy

When a part of the quarry face is built, Pulco paints it:  Rock pieces laying at the bottom of the quarry face were obtained by passing material through 3 laboratory meshes of decreasing sieve (from top to bottom):     To be continued. Guy

Guy great pictures of that incredible process. I use all real materials in my dioramas also you can’t achieve a better look. I get the materials from around the area and leave them in the basement for a couple of weeks in front of a dehumidifier and they adhere beautifully to the work area. I do the same thing you show in the pictures with the ledge, I get big pieces then go to work with a 3lb sledge in the garage. I use everything that the sledge produces right down to the dust, it is much better than the materials they sell at the hobby stores. Maybe I will ask my wife if I can take over our dinning room, that antique maple table will make a perfect base for me to make headquarters and garages for the site work company.
