Is this a possibility, or is the whole thing indoors and there to stay? Despite the poor lighting, it's still great to see and probably great fun to work on. Jamie, Dios are built indoor in the East of France (where a nice weather outside cannot be guaranteed all year long) and are far too large to be moved outside afterwards. You'll find a few pictures below showing how they were made. Therefore all pictures were taken under "artificial" light with conventional bulbs giving some sort of "yellowish" atmosphere in the early phase. These bulbs have all been changed since to more modern ones, giving a better "natural" light. 1- Building of the quarry face diorama: 2- Initial phases of the workshop area diorama (to be displayed at a later stage in this topic): Regards. Guy Truly a labor of love. The amount of work on this is just incredible!

Thanks for your reply, and those pictures of its construction are very interesting to see - and confirm what a truly monster project this is!! How about making the roof of the building hinge upwards so the sun can get to it?

Guy that is fantastic, even their timing is great. The buses with the crew arriving is another great feature, this mine must always be operating in the black. The stock price must be off the charts. Steve

Craig Craig, I provided an answer last week already: GuyM wrote:I've just asked Denis about that dust and just got a response from him: Olive used Photoshop! Apparently, he was very clever using this software and tried - before he left the LorraMine team - to pass all his skills and tricks to Denis, who should take care about such pictures in the future. So, wait and see what Denis can do (and explain) in the coming period. [...] Difficult to know more as Olive has left the LorraMine team. Guy
