Short trip to Switzerland with a Friderici Special vehicle:







Renault Trucks/Hodel Betriebe C 520 P10x4 TAG 10x4/6 dropside truck fitted at rear with an Effer 685 6S+Jib 4S knuckleboom crane equipped with a winch (WSI model) handling a 1.95 tonnes site office 20ft container (MSM model).

We move to a neighboring country with the equipment of an Austrian Tyrol civil works company:





MAN TGS NN 18-510 4x4/2 truck fitted with a Meiller 3-side tipping body (Conrad model), loaded with 10 formwork plates of 1.55 tonnes (homemade) and towing a Fliegl DTS 300 1+3-axle lowbed drawbar trailer (Conrad model). The combination moves to a construction site a 3.9 tonnes Carmix 3500 TC 4x4/4 unit equipped with a swiwel mixing drum and a front auto-loader bucket (Kranlab Models model),

In the US, transport of a various knitting machine elements, bought second-hand in Europe (modifications paint touch-ups pending):







Freightliner Cascadia 113 Aero 6X4/2 tractor (modified Siku model) and MAC Trailer Road Warrior M52 2-axle flatbed (modified Diecast Masters model) carrying 6 Bentley Engineering Co boxes with knitting machine parts (Corgi elements) and a sheeted Bentley Engineering Co knitting machine element (gauge 21 - 16 heads) on its transport cradle (Corgi load),

Volvo FH16-T700 8x4/4 tractor (modified Motorart model) and King Trailers GTL139/5HS-19.5 5-axle low bed semi-trailer with 1-axle jeep dolly (modified Corgi model) moving a 75 tonnes Liebherr R 981 HD tracked hydraulic shovel (CEF model).

The original 1/50 Siku model (left) only requires its small wheels and "toyish" fifth wheel to be replaced. Except for that, it looks alright for me, for approx. one third the price of the Diecast Masters model (right)l:

An Austrian transport being progressed, from a Conrad model produced early 80s:



Bedford TM 340 4x2/2 tractor (modified Conrad model, fifth wheel to be painted) and Blumhardt SAL 40-24/125 3-axle dropside semi-trailer (Conrad model being modified), loaded with an Ecotherm ESBI-L800 triple pass industrial gas boiler of 8.5 tonnes (homemade from a modified Trix container) and a Bertsch industrial steam generator element in its export wooden box of 18.1 tonnes (modified WSI load),

MAN 19-280 FS 4x2/2 tractor equipped with an Atlas AK 500-3L knuckleboom crane (modified Conrad elements, fifth wheel to be painted) and Blumhardt P 327/402 2-axle dropside semi-trailer (modified Conrad model, to be completed and painted), loaded with 2 Stamford/Gardner MC 344C/6LX 50/93kVA gensets on their transport wooden cradle (modified Corgi elements), a gasoline tank of unknown brand (Corgi element) and a Caterpillar D 399TA marine engine with its 7261 gearbox on a transport wooden cradle (modified Joal element),

Many thanks for your support and of your interest to this topic.

I forgot about the origin of front hubs (possibly Arpras), while rear ones are from Conrad, for sure. They have been fitted with Conrad tires all round:



The Freightliner fifth wheel is a modified white metal one I have in stock (I bought them years ago from a Dutch model parts seller): I just open the hole and insert a pin to hold in place any of my modified semi-trailers:

2 other American vehicles which became famous during WW2 and reproduced by Solido in a 1/50 scale, a Diamond T half-track armored truck T19 equipped with a 105mm howitzer and a GMC amphibious truck DUKW 353:
