I managed to customise these three models with some extras. They probably need cab guards (as was pointed out on a Facebook page!). The red pincers are resin 3D printed, by 3D Printing Corner on Ebay in the UK. £11 for the small and £17 for the big one on the 991. Very nice! I especially like the Case 350 with the alligator shear. Nice job on the hydraulic lines.

Thank you! I used old bass guitar strings for the flexible lines on the 991. They look quite good I think. I have one more shear but I'm struggling to think of an excavator to fit it to. It was going on a Bucyrus 40H, but I couldn't get myself to ruin one!
By the way, if anyone's interested, that's Britain's highest mountain - Ben Nevis - in the background.

The Scottish mountains are not big by global standards, but they can be pretty impressive. We also get some interesting Winter conditions where very moist air blows in off the Atlantic and plates the mountains in thick layers of rime ice. If you're into ice and mixed climbing, it can provide some unique climbing conditions. Global warming is having a noticeable effect for us climbers though - the snow and ice doesn't stick around for long now. It felt like Spring yesterday as it was 14 degrees c and raining at all levels. They do look impressive. We tend to get a lot of moist air here coming off the coast as well. I tend to wait until the snow pack and ice glaciers are mostly melted off before I get out hiking around.

Great photos of the mountains ! Scotland is such a beautiful country, particularly the highlands. I'd love to visit again, but at my age it is unlikely.
