Thought this was interesting so I wanted to share it... There are listings on eBay for Ford F-250 Trucks that look like perfectly scaled down Sword trucks. Even down to the hitch... Says it's official, but I'm not so sure. So what did they do, scale the Dies down or something? Im just curious the length of effort they went to to produce these... WOW!! They even copied the license plate? The box says that its an officially licensed model but with that little detail maybe whoever copied it is doing it illegally and hoping for the best. Could you do a comparison picture between a 1/50 and a 1/64 pickup please.

It's unfortunate that some companies do this. The thing is unless the trucks have a patent on them to even include the number plate this theft of idea is rampant!! Even a patent doesn't stop the intellectual property theft. A patent unless it's renewed runs out after ten years even then the patent only covers a specific model and doing it in a smaller scale does not infringe on a patent for a 1:50 scale model!!!

I'm a kid at heart, so I will play with any model construction vehicle from 1:87 scale to 1:1 scale!!!!
Age is a state of time NOT a state of mind!!

I agree too that it is a scaled down/copied Sword F-250 model. I highly doubt that Chuck or Sword had any involvement in this truck as Sword's primary focus was with 1/50th scale models and they seemed not interested in entering other scales. I think the only non 1/50th scale model they made was a Superior Industries Dura-Toy pressed steel hopper in 1/16th scale. Quite impressed that even scaled down to 1/64 they were able to replicate most of the details and functionality the casting had in 1/50th scale.
