I see people posting pictures and discussing various types of equipment they collect but I realized I do not see any comments about road graders. Does anyone on the forum collect these?
Thanks,
Gregg

I have five or six in my collection mostly Caterpillar models. I do have one John Deere grader and the Komatsu grader with snow plow set up. I don't currently have photos of them though.

Although I collect a little bit of everything, I only have two motor graders in 1/50th scale, the Gescha Cat 12F, and NZG 12G. I am fine with only two in my collection and have no plans to add more unless Liebherr decides to make one in 1/1 scale which subsequently results with one being made in 1/50th scale then I may be tempted to buy one. I do however have some more in smaller scales.

Gescha 1/50 Cat 12F

NZG 1/50 Cat 12G

Grip Zechin 1/96 Cat 14E's made in the mid 70's in Japan.

Tomica 1/81 Komatsu GD675-6 released in 2016. This was never available in North America to purchase and had to have it ordered from Japan.

Zylmex Zee Toys Mini Macks Motor Grader (Caterpillar 12G?)

The First Gear Komatsu GD 655 is tough to beat. Looks great with great functionality. Overall a really impressive piece especially considering it's over 15 years old.

Gregg,

I have a few, all in a 1/50 scale. They are mainly used as loads on my lowloader sets:
- Komatsu GD 655 and GD 655-5 (with Weldo-Beales snow removal equipment), both from First Gear,
- a Caterpillar 12F from Gescha,
- a Caterpillar 12G from Joal,
- Caterpillar 140H and 14M, both from Norscot,
- a FAUN-Frisch F85A from Conrad.

I hope this helps.
Guy

I have 2, a Norscot Cat 24H and an NZG Terex TG 190A. The T Rex one isn't too bad for the size and it has a front dozer blade too.

I'm a kid at heart, so I will play with any model construction vehicle from 1:87 scale to 1:1 scale!!!!

Age is a state of time NOT a state of mind!!

Gregg: I have never been much of a grader fan. They don't look great on a lowboy IMO. I sold my last two to Chuck. I'm more of a dozer nut. CAW

Yes CAW, I also am a dozer guy. Plus I like anything with a winch on it vs. a ripper. And, for some reason D9Gs are my favorite,

Here are mine. I threw in some lowboys for "Mr. Q." Only one not shown is a Cat Arpra Cat 140. The 16G is getting a V-plow attached.

Oooh, love the old Allis Chalmers there. I'd like one of those! I have the scraper by First Gear. Nice model.
Nobody's mentioned the Diecast Masters CAT 18M3 in black - gorgeous! I don't have it but another on my WANT list.

You can’t operate a 1/50 scale rock quarry, a heavy/highway, or a mass excavation and embankment fleet all at the same time, you’re building and maintaining hundreds of miles of forest access roads without graders!!

I think my favorite one is the NZG 16G that I customized with the tires off of a Norscot 725 truck. The real 16G I was running at that time had the same size tires on it.

Are you an enviromentist, or do you work for a living?
