I spotted this on Diecast Masters Facebook page today and it's a new 1/50 version of the 797F.

The main difference I can see is the dump body and apparently it's due for release after Spielwarenmesse 2020 which is 29 January-2nd February.

With DM releasing this photo hopefully it's ready to be released soon after Spielwarenmesse.

Dare I say that DM is giving CCM a run for their money? I don't collect mining models but this looks fantastic.

They have really stepped it up if they were to get licensing from Cat for older models, they'd really put competition on CCM.

I see this model is being advertised with dealers now but I was shocked at the price, especially in Europe.

€379/£350($430) is madness.

It seems a much better price in the USA at $299/£240 but unfortunately shipping and import tax would probably hike that higher(not to mention risk of shipping damage).

I wish DM would explain why there is such a huge price difference because at £350 I've had to walk away from buying it Sad .

Hello group, I see this model is now available with dealers and I was wondering if anybody has bought one?.

If you have, would it be possible to post or send me a couple of photos?.

I'm tempted to buy one and it does look stunning in the promo photos above but if I'm honest, despite starting this thread I've lost a little bit of the hunger for the hobby and would like to see some collector photos to help me decide.

I always feel collector photos show the models in a different/more real light.

Thanks in advance.

After feeling a little lukewarm I bit the bullet and bought the new CAT 797F.

It's another impressive mining truck model but £300(UK) is a little steep for price and the model is not without some minor/irksome issues.

But, I guess it's a great looking and very detailed model and the tyres are a big improvement.

The last photo is the Norscot 797F(left) and DM 797F(right)
