Anyone has any personal experience with either or both? The 4100w with extension kit is much cheaper at around 600euro and reaches 2.3m according to cranes, etc. The SGC-120 is about 1700 euro and reaches about 2.6m. SGC-120 is of course much bigger and heavier. But does it worth almost 3x the price?

Get the 4100. The sgc is huge, you will need alot of space to display it. It is also pretty much impossible to "play" with. Lines always jumping off the sheaves and the block uses 4 separate drums. Make it impossible to raise or lower easily. It's an impressive model but once it's up, that's it. Could hang something from it if you want. It's very stable. I got about 35-40lbs of sand in the ballast containers and i can almost hang anything from it. I have many photos of both on my Facebook page cranedude07

that's a pretty impressive RC 4100w you got! and that lift was without any derrick as well as moving the load!
the PTC ringer is the best one but it's like a lot harder to find. and more expensive than the 4100w ringer or sgc. litterally could get the sgc and the 4100w ringer for about the same or slightly more than the ptc..

i just found a 4100w ringer with the extension kit included for $560usd shipped. Figured that was decent price so i snatched it. Hope it will be good.
Think i am gonna get another extension set to take it to almost 12 ft?
I am still saving up for the sgc-120....lol

Seems like it's the more affordable option as well as being bigger? lol... but if i can find the ptc at a more reasonable price maybe i will get that one? the ptc seems to be a better detail model.
