I am thinking four of the extension sets? each one has a 12m main boom and a 12m jib extension. So four sets is 4 x 24 or 96m total.

cranes. etc say the original model is 2m tall or 100m scale. so with four extension set that would give 196m tall total scale. So four extension sets sound right?

the issue also is that the extension sets don't come with screws. Anyone successfully gets screws from nzg?

I would like to have a crawler crane matching the height of the 11200 ;)

Be careful with super long booms on these scale models...
The weight proportions of metal 1:50 scale models are completely distorted compared to the original crane.
Boom sections are way heavier, and on the other side ballast blocks are lighter than the original - because they are solid, but not steel.
Balance is an issue, you need to put up the complete boom at a high angle so you need enough head room Smile

they will likely be at the most vertical position as possible since i want it to reach as high as possible in the background of the living room which has a 20ft ceiling. i am thinking also of tethering it to the wall.
