That seems crazy. Is the frame rigid enough to spread the hitch load to all of those axles? Or is it more about floatation?

The 5th wheel has to be between #2 and #3 drive axles for a lowboy trailer neck. You will only get between 15,000 and 20,000 lbs transferred to the front axles. I can't make out how far the 5th wheel will slide forward. I don't know why they added a 3rd to the front. The fronts are not very big for floats. Also, it appears that the center steer axle might be a front drive axle. Ken

I would concur that this is for oil field work. I expect to see a large knuckle boom crane or some form of boom mounted on this. Therefore it will be able to pull a trailer and unload it.
