Marty, I fully expect this project to be just as spectacular as your Aussie road train. I will be watching as you progress. Good luck, Mike

Cheers Mike .
Getting a little bit of progress happening . Bonnet had to get 8mm longer and 4mm wider at the grille end , Cab needed the hole where the sleeper was filled in and a new rear window and the exhaust stack lugs filled in , Doors needed the windows reshaped and the bottom window on the lh door filled in .

modelmaniac : 19ltr Cummin's in the real thing , I believe the bonnet was 'stretched' on these to get a cooling system in there to handle 50+ degree outside temps .
Exkvate3140 : Cheers mate , theres a long list of stuff to do with this one so it wont be a quick project...

Like your truck. Mind if I ask what wheels/tires you are using?

I was going to ask the same question on the tires, and that is going to be a real beast. It is starting to look like the sugar cane trucks in Size from Hawaii.
Thanks

Hi Guys , The tyres/rims/hubs are 3d printed . I knew the actual tyre size so I scaled that and worked backwards . As it sits the wheels are 27mm tall x 7mm wide .
Cheers

Those wheels and rims came out great from the 3D printer, the replicated tread couldn’t look any better.
Thanks for the response.

No worries Steve . The people that do this stuff as a buisness I understand if they dont wan't to share to much detail , for me this is a hobby . If anyone gets an idea for something out of stuff I do thats what its all about .

At first I thought you printed those wheels. That is why I assumed they were solid(one piece)They have been made very well.ApplauseVery impressive, they look really good.Well worth paying for them to be done, professionally.
