I agree with you: the scale is 1/50.
As it is a Dinky Toys, people tend to think - wrongly - that everything produced by the British company was in a 1/43 scale, like their late cars. Lots of models, produced before 1960, were in fact in a 1/48 scale or even smaller. When Matchbox took-over Dinky, they produced very few 1/50 scale models, the "Reiseburo Ruoff" Mercedes-Benz coach being one of these.

Yes, these Dinky Macks came in smaller scales, usually with trailers from companies like Pennzoil...etc. I cannot remember those scale Macks, but I'm thinking 1:87th. My post here is specifically regarding these orange Macks, and the red McDonalds 1955 Mack. They are 1:50th. Matchbox Dinky also made some 1:58 trucks like the Kenworth w900, the Pete 379, the Freightliner COE, and the red Mack CH. Also in this older 1:50 series are the 1939 Peterbilt in red and black, and the Diamond T in blue and white. These also did not come with a trailer. All models are fantastic. CAW

I measured my MACK using the distance across the rear of the cab as a comparison. The dimension of the real truck should be approximately 70 1/2" according to the brochure information.That should be 1.41" in 1:50 scale. The model measures 1.392" which is pretty close to 1:50. Actually 1:50.7 scale.

BAD NEWS fellas I will admit it as long as my wife doesn't find out. I am admitting I was wrong. The item I thought was a 1/64 mack is actually not a mack it looks more like a White. Yep I said it I was wrong. shhhhhhhhh. Question how do we get photos again on here so I can post.
