Looking on ebay, some sellers list the Norscot D8T #55299, some of those sellers are in China or Hong Kong. My first question is if you buy one of those will it really be the Norscot and not the Die Cast Masters version? I prefer the Norscot version as there is no operator in the cab and the hood is yellow. Next question what is the black round thing by the air condoner filter in this photo? Is that missing on the Die Cast Masters version?

Off hand I would say the black thing is some kind of fuel vent?

Make sure you flip the tracks around to the right way if you get a Norscot one

The black thing looks like an air filter, perhaps it's a filter for the cab air or the AC unit? On the DM version it's mounted along side the cab and not behind it like the Norscot version. My guess is Norscot got the filter and a fill cap locations mixed up and DM switched them to the correct locations. My Facebook page: NorCalDiecastCustomsClifton

Interesting.......maybe I don't want the Norscot after all. How in the world could they get the tracks on wrong?

Looks like the U blade version has a removable Bob.
