Short stay in Holland when DAF, then a local trucks manufacturer, built in addition a full range of drawbar trailers and semi-trailers (models being modified):   - left: DAF T 1502 DD-265 4x2/2 tractor (Tekno model) and DAF TAL 2400-1300 2-axle dropside semi-trailer (Lion Car model being modified, landing leg and spare wheel support to be added, model to be painted) loaded with sheeted boxes (modified Corgi load), - right: DAF TE 2000 DH 4x2/2 tractor (modified Lion Car model, to be painted) and DAF ETAL 3224 2-axle box semi-trailer (Lion Car model being modified, landing legs to be added and painted). DAF revolutionized the European truck with its spacious and luminous 2600-series cab in the 60s, then its tilting cab late sixties (among which the new 2000-series models). As a result, the local truck manufacturer expanded internationally:    Regards. Guy

Last DAF tractor of this series, a 2600 unit, which largely contributed to the international expansion of the Dutch truck manufacturer:    DAF TE 2600 DP 4x2/2 tractor (WSI model) and York Trailer Freightmaster 40 2-axle box semi-trailer (Conrad model being modified, side walls to be completed),  Regards. Short trip to Sweden with a construction equipment delivery:   Mercedes-Benz 1928 L 4x2/2 dropside truck with an Atlas-Weyhausen 140.1 distribution crane with pallets fork (modified Conrad models) loaded with 360 foundation cement blocks (CB Models load) and a Forss-Parator 1+1-axle sheeted dropside trailer (modified Nacoral model),   Regards. In the construction process still, but in Germany this time:  MAN TGM 26-290 DFT 6x4/2 tractor with hydraulic pump behind the cab (Conrad model being modified) and Liebherr HTM 1204S DA 2-axle cement mixing drum semi-trailer (modified Conrad model),    Regards. Guy

Somewhere up North of the United Kingdom:  FAUN SLT 50 Elefant 8x8/4 tractor, 2 winches behind engine and sheeted ballast box (Kranlab model) and its Nicolas R9-T180 9-line modular trailer (modified Corgi elements) carrying a 148.42 tonnes Royal SMIT 100MVA-220/37kV transformer (WSI load),    To be continued. Hornby Hobbies Ltd, current owner of the Corgi brand, recently reproduced 37 old Corgi Toys models dating back from the sixties: https://corgimodelclub.com/en-ie/collections/corgi-authentic-re-issues . It should be noted that approx. 20% of these were in a scale ranging from 1/48 to 1/52. As an example, the car below:   Ford Thunderbird H58 4x2/2 open top coupe car (Hornby-Corgi Toys model being modified),   Regards. Guy

Modelmaniac, There are different ETAL DAF box semi-trailers produced by Lion Car or Lion Toys throughout the years: round front, square front... They all have tilting landing legs:  This is probably one of the first models to be produced and yes it has the TIR sign cast in the die. I hope it helps. Guy
