So I got this model for a decent price from ebay about 2 weeks ago.

And I then started by stripping off the thick paint completely.I finally found some pretty good paint remover. So this was not a big problem.I then removed all the handrails and ladders and replaced and added them, where they were missing.I also added tons of details. The chains around the wheels took me about 20 hours to make.

And finally it was time for some new paint and weathering.

And today the weather is fine.So I took the finished outside to make a few photos.

Just on a sidenote: The driver is a modified "Diecast Masters Bob" with a new head and some more muscles.Looks much better without the hardhat and sunglasses.

Well done ! The amount of detail under Joal paint is amazing ! I suspect the paint process Joal utilizes is dictated by environmental regulations.

....still rubbing my chin after it hit the floor.

Nice work. What did you use for paint stripper? I have not had much luck getting the bomb proof paint off of the Joal models.

It´s somehow halfliquid stuff that you apply with a brush. And I then put the parts into a plastic box overnight. And the next morning you can wipe off the paint with a toothbrush and water. It´s pretty aggressive and you have to be careful with it,it can literally peel the skin off your hand when you don´t wash it off immediately.

Holy cow! That’s a beauty!
The first picture of it compleated, I thought it was a real loader you posted to show what you modeled yours after!

Are you an enviromentist, or do you work for a living?

Sensational work. At first glance I was asking myself "so where are the pics of the model?"
