Nice dio Ethan. That road is very realistic. Just the beginning of a large earthmoving job? The weather should be breaking soon ,so we'll be watching. Mike

It is the Norscot Peterbilt 389 with the Corgi 5 axle lowboy. One of these days I will buy a proper 3x3x3 set-up or something for moving my big iron.

We have not even stripped the site and these opened up. Eh?

After several weeks of testing and the agreement for a nice time and material change order the solution is proposed. The areas were formed by fracturing rock deep below. For now the areas need excavated to bedrock and the cracks filled with grout. More permanent solutions will be sought by geologists in the time to come.

We did not have any of our large excavators smaller than the Koehring 1166 or Komatsu PC1250 available so the 320 and 336 will have to do.

Got to make the holes safe for Geotechnical engineers to get down and test.

We also could use a better roadway. A D10 is probably big enough. (T&M is murder for this thing too.)

Great looking dio as usual, just be careful of those fissures as they might be connected to the volcano in Hawaii!!!

Age is a state of time NOT a state of mind!!
