Hello all,

Against my better judgement, I am opening up the forum to ask a question of you guys Teeth

I believe this has been asked before - but tell me again because I am old and don't remember....

What accessories/add-on's/new parts/colors/ideas do you have for the Sword Model Ford F250 trucks? We are planning for some new accessories and add-on items and want to know what would be interesting to you.

If you have photos of what you are talking about, that would help too... Let us know what you would like to go with your F250 scale model in this thread...

Thanks!

Chuck

Transfer tank would be nice, also some plows possibly. Since I assume you'll be at the annual 100 years of progress show, will you have any white T800's with you? Need to know how much dough to bring with me.

Where to start? Think

If I had the chance to buy some id say: 1.5 yd bulk in bed salter, V-plow, dump bed insert, maybe a rugged package with a roll bar for the bed and mudder style tires. Now if you're really looking into accesories and paint I'd say maybe some equipment/enclosed trailers(I'd buy one of each in a heart beat) and two tone paint schemes like red with a black strip along the bottem or orange with tire tread decals up the side of the cab maybe green with mud splash decals. I could go on and on about truck accesories but I'll leave it short and sweet.

As far as accessories go,.. plows, sanders, dump bodies, different style toolboxes, etc is all the ordinary. That's what we would expect everyone to suggest.
How about something different like what "cat938k" said with the "rugged package". Maybe offer different package fords sorts like the escort sets. You could do things like..
Snow removal set- f250 with plow, sander, etc
Off-road set- f250 with light bars, bigger tires, winch, etc
Contractor set- f250 with ladder rack, toolboxs, and maybe an enclosed trailer
Landscape set- f250 with dump body and a landscape trailer
Service truck set- f250 with a service body, small crane, and mechanics tools sorta like a smaller version of the Pete mechanics truck by twh
I could go on and on with this but I'll let some other guys chime in here. There is endless possibilities here and I think you know that! A pickup truck is basically the Swiss Army knife of vehicles. It can do whatever you need it to do to complete a certain task.

Love to see what other ideas you guys have!
Jake

I would include images of all these ideas but I don't know how to insert photos anymore since photobucket is having its problems...

In addition to the tool box already available I would like to side tool Saddleboxes, Hi Sidded toolboxes, "L-Style" contractor Ladder racks, and fuel transfer tank.

Another version/accessory I would also like to see although I know it is very unlikely due to the cab, body and the bed are 1 piece for these castings is a Utility Body. These are very common for working trucks and are used for a wide variety of applications. Some of the larger contractors around here mount to the sides of the utility body, 1 - 2 hi sidded boxes, a generator, a air compressor, ladder racks, a safety can (metal fuel can) holder, and a 10 gallon water cooler since they usually driven by the laborer foreman to support their crew which I would like to see. Here are some pics to get an idea of what I am talking about.

Would also like to someone do an asphalt kettle in 1/50 scale that is truck is pulling

Would also be interesting to see a welding truck.

How 'bout a dually cab/chassis just as Ford offers. Then things like the utility body already mentioned, dump bed, flatbed and such could be offered.

How about some jackstands and tow straps?

Anything is possible if you don't know what you are talking about.

Tow behind air compressor with tools. I have the NZG Porkorny 1-50 scale air compressor but it is too big for the Ford pick up. I hooked it up to a six wheel dump which with that size vehicle fits well also made jack hammers with the air hose. It would look nice with the Fords if the compressor was smaller. Also the v-plow with the poly sander.

Yes; a ford dually 4*4 would be great. 2016 body style or a 2017, which ever, it doesn't matter to me. Some Eager beaver or felling equipment trailers would be nice too.🤔👈👌🏾

I'd love to see a Pro-Tech mesh headache rack and an L shaped transfer tank.

No matter what item is next to come whether it be accessories or another Ford release I vote to keep the colors the same such as your white, red, blue, black etc, etc as people who have model fleets with these colors everything matches and looks nicer. It would be nice to also see a cap that can go over the box of the pick-up.

I'd like to see the following accessories for the Ford Trucks,

1- A snow plow, Meyers type angle blade
2- A V box sanding unit for the bed
3- A cap for the back of both beds with opening rear window
4- A fuel tank for the bed with fueling hose
5- A decent trailer either fifth wheel or pintle hook up in a flat bed, dump or enclosed utility.
6- An air compressor that can be towed behind it!!!

Other ideas will come!!!

Dain

I'm a kid at heart, so I will play with any model construction vehicle from 1:87 scale to 1:1 scale!!!!

Age is a state of time NOT a state of mind!!
