I am in an argument over the rules of a certain poker game. It's draw poker, and the game is Jacks or better, trips to win. If you know this game well, chime in. I've even got some pros involved and no one can give a clear answer to this certain rule. CAW

Not sure what the argument is about. Is it about proving one had the openers?

Ok.dealer deals first cards. I get a pair of Aces. I open. Everyone calls. We all draw. I do not get trips or better, but decided to bet in order to run out as many people possible, anticipating another hand. I bet the maximum. EVERYONE folds! I start to drag the pot and the house says that since I did not have trips, I cannot win. I say since everyone folded except me, I am the automatic winner. The rules state that once you fold, you are out. If two people remain, and neither have trips or better, you re deal to onlethose two. So I this case,I am the only remaining player, so obviously you would only re deal to me. Or you would automTically declare me the winner so the game would move faster.

That is a conundrum. Part of me takes the basic "Takes trips to WIN'" literally, but if everyone else folded....... I don't know. Guess that's why I only host Texas Hold'em events. Hope you find a definitive answer. If you do, please pass it on as I and maybe others would like to know.
