A friend from Belgium sent this photo to me and I thought I'd share it with you. Impressive in my opinion!

Very impressive! A good amount of work went into the assembly alone.

I don't mean to sound like an SJW but I think that's a light bulb and not a bottle that was built in. If you look you can see the piece where it would thread in to the socket. Still mighty impressive though, thanks for the share digger. "It's O-gauge or no gauge..."

Do you see it??? I don't think there is one otherwise the R996 would have better details on the machine house and cab. As an example; just look at the louvers on the cab windows? They are not symmetrical and consistent, so I conclude this is a legitimate "put it together inside the vessel" V8dieselpower wrote:Where do these pics come from, a model show in Belgium? There are not all that much people interested in this stuff in Belgium My friend is a pilot for ASL, and I have asked him to provide me with more information. I suspect that this "show" was somewhere near where he was between flights, but I don't know where. When I know more, I will post it. Still mighty impressive though, thanks for the share digger. Not knowing what "an SJW" is, I'm unable to confirm or refute if you sound like one or not. Regarding my use of the phrase "in a bottle"; I actually questioned whether I should have used the quotes or not as it is a figure of speech referring to an object assembled inside a transparent vessel. The first photo I posted didn't show that is was one of those big sodium vapor light bulbs, and the second photo is from a Google search and not my friend.
