Also some more news from Tonkin/Nooteboom Store:

Hello Paul Rose, I can already confirm that the real Nooteboom 7-axle Ballasttrailer (TONKIN) will come in livery Boekestijn (end Q3/beginning Q4 this year). We already received the permission to make this model and it will be the first limited edition of the 7-axle Ballasttrailer. This 7-axle is also the real combination how it also drives in praxis at Boekestijn. The 7-axle Nooteboom Ballasttrailer is specially purchased for their LTM1500. By the way, Boekestijn has no Goldhofer Ballasttrailer at all in his fleet! For the collector it is important to have the correct models in their collection.

Just received this email from IMC, who are in a joint venture with Tonkin:

IMC Branding starts with its own model brand IMC Models.eu
A NEW BRAND WITH A RICH HISTORY IN THE SCALE MODEL WORLD
Industrial Merchandising Concepts (IMC Branding) is debuting its own scale model brand this month. IMC Branding has been known for years as merchandising supplier and consultant for brands like Nooteboom, Sarens and TII Group. So the time was ripe for some new wind in the scale model market. IMC is focused mainly OEM industry, where the market still has substantial potential. Of course the collectors will not be overlooked. Currently a lot of new models are in development and we plan to stun collectors this year already.
The team behind IMC Branding has vast experience in the development and production of scale models.

Joep Hansen: “Scale models have always been an important part of our customers marketing concepts. In many cases we were able to use existing model manufacturers. More and more often the requirements have proven to be so unique that the established scale model producers are not capable to meet the requirements, or are out of price range. To better serve our customers we decided to start producing our own models, with focus on heavy haulage, cranes and earthmoving equipment. The segment in which we can make the biggest difference due to our experience.”

TONKIN REPLICAS EUROPE
The existing joint venture between IMC Branding and the American manufacturer Tonkin Replicas Inc. will continue to exist for now and IMC Branding will still do the distribution and marketing. Different customer needs with their own requirements in regards to detail and quality make it necessary to separate more clearly between Tonkin Replicas Europe and Tonkin Replicas Inc. Therefore, IMC Models takes over all current and future Projects of Tonkin replicas Europe under its own management to ensure a higher quality due to IMCs own development and production facilities.

ENJOY THE LITTLE THINGS
With great enthusiasm for a future where IMC Models unites the OEM, the model dealers, the collectors and all friends of scale models under one motto: ‘Enjoy the little things!’ Keep an eye on the website www.imcmodels.eu, where we will inform you on all developments.

IMC (new SPMT version) much more detail especially the power unit - but a lot have not noticed ? or no one mentioned it yet - compared to the NZG these new IMC look like they don't inter connect side by side ? which is a big - negative

Paul you able to confirm on this ?

Based on what IMC have told me, I can confirm that they will have the ability to connect side by side like the NZG version.

Bummer!, over the years I've bought 2 x Mammoet, 2 x Sarens and 2 x Roll of the NZG SPMTs. Thankfully it was the later editions with the fully adjustible suspension.

It'll be interesting to see how or if the build quality differs between the NZG and IMC versions.

Although they might lack the IMC level of detail, what I like about the NZG ones is they are heavy and pretty solid.

I think I finally found my first Mammoet heavy haulage mode. Or I could tear it apart and make a off highway logger out of it.
