Clifton,
Normally, I'm not into forestry modeling but I had to comment on you build. Hands down the best logging truck model on DHS in my humble opinion. Great job and I hope you'll share more of your talents as time passes.

Clifton, I have to agree, you have done a really great job, everything is just beautiful! Is this something you modeled after a real logging rig in your area? And if so, do you know what weight it would carry and do you have a picture of a real one you could post for reference?? Thank you for posting ! DanielD

FiatAllis: Wow, thank you! That's quite the compliment. It's definitely the best logging truck I've made so far, I get a little better each time I build something. I plan to keep sharing my work here. Daniel: Thank you! Yeah I modeled it after a real design made by Whit-Log. They don't have this particular set-up here in California because we have more strict bridge and axle laws but you do see this in Idaho, Washington and Oregon I think. As for the weights it can carry I'm not sure exactly, I haven't gone so far as to figure that out yet haha. I don't have the pics I used uploaded so here are a couple I found online. http://www.whitlogtrailers.com/app/resources/images/boss/inventoryapp/inventory/big/7.jpghttp://www.ruraltech.org/pubs/reports/2008/log_trucks/images/app_10.jpgMartin: Thanks! Dan: Thanks! A few small projects might be up next, just adding little details to previous builds. The next custom will probably be another T800W, a long logger this time. frusso: Thanks! Thanks Clifton, It's always interesting to see what is allowed in other States, and what weight laws allow. I was just curious. Again, you did a great job, and looks just like the additional pictures you attached. DanielD

Nice short logger, looking forward to seeing your long logger! I've been waiting to start on my Sword T800/MacKenzie Iron long loggers....seeing your T800 gave me the kick in the shorts to get going on them.

That looks awesome Cliffton! A set up like that would be good for about 30 tons or a tad more in the Pacific Northwest.
Are you an enviromentist, or do you work for a living?

Daniel: I agree, you can see some pretty different set-ups from what you're used to when you look around at other states. Thanks again. HeavyHaul: Thank you! Fortunately I'm more familiar with long loggers and I've built a few before this one so there won't be as much guess work and figuring out how to build certain things. These T800s look pretty good with the McKenzie log truck kits on them. In fact this T800 used to have one on it before I put it on a Sword Pete 379. JTL: Thank you! And thanks for the info on the weight. Chandler: Thank you! Brett: That's where I got this headache rack from. The stuff they make looks really good and has some great details. I debated buying more of that gear but since it's not printed out in individual parts you lose out on some functionality. By scratch building it I was able to add a lot more of that to this model. For me it's function over looks, and sometimes I drive myself nuts trying to get both haha. Facebook: NorCalDiecastCustomsInstagram: NorCalDiecastCustomsClifton
