If anyone knows of someone who has done it better than this man from Austria, I would like to know about or see it please?

DHS: When are you going to start selling these? That is cool !

Hhhhmmmm......the title says: "1:50 RC Modell Liebherr R9100 Bagger / excavator"\

The website is: www.1zu50-rc-models.com

Yeah, I think it is a radio controled model, no an animation.

Great looking and operating model. There was a similar model operating at the 2008 Con Expo. I went back and looked at the pics of it. It was a RH 70 model. It was digging in small crush limestone. The bucket showed an almost total loss of paint from digging. This model did not have the audio feature that this one does. That certainly adds to the operation in my opinion. If one were to become available, my guess it would be in the $2000.00 class. That would probably eliminate me.

Reading the description, it can be seen that this model is in fact available to purchase. The price is 2000 euros, it says

Anyone remember the Kyosho Komatsu PC1250 in 1/50th? looks very similar in quality and I paid 300. and it functions the same.

I think the one here may be diecast though. The Kyosho one is all plastic.

If i were to pay 2K for a R/C excavator, it would be this one, it can really dig and is much bigger.

The pistons seem to work flawlessly! Looks like the company HK-Funktionsmodellbau does these as custom conversions. Awesome stuff.

From their website via Google translation:

Conversion of high-level models from renowned manufacturers to radio-controlled function models

depending on the model, for example, with steering and electric traction motors, real miniature hydraulics, lights, sound functions etc.
Exclusive custom made, no large series
Special requests are possible, we also manufacture individual components (eg crane winches etc.)
We manufacture generally ordered by the customer, so please check availability of products and delivery time.

Why exclusive 1:50 or 1:32 RC-Function models of HK-function model?

Because there are fantastic, finely detailed 1:50 and 1:32 metal stand models, just waiting to be able to move also remotely controlled.
For those who want to own an unusual model that no one else has.
As a catcher at trade shows and product presentations or as a special customer gift.
For the model dealer a looker in the window, at trade fairs and exhibitions.
For the collector a unique model and a surprise if the model in the display case suddenly comes to life.
For the Construction Freak a way to represent real movements in the diorama.
For the hobby model builder with little time or lack of workshop equipment a way to still have a functional model.
For those who like to ride with RC models, excavators, cranes, etc., but does not have room for the large and heavy 1:14.5 models.

With our 1:50 and 1:32 RC models are accurate conversions with sensitive proportional controllable movements that occur as realistic as the original. It is also particularly careful to change the visual appearance of the model as little as possible. With us there is no back and forth twitching excavator buckets, driven by chunky servos, no hectic jerky tracked vehicles and racing trucks, as they are., In some videos on the www gets to see.

Very, very cool! Thanks for posting this.

Aside from the grossly oversized "operator", I cannot find fault with Herr Ketschmer's work. To incorporate all the electronics and everything else within the body of this model is just amazing! I'd love to see how it all works and is packed in there. Too bad there isn't a "making of" video.

I think most impressive is the fact that it is so quiet you can hear the soundcard, and all movements are proportional to a real machine. The rodeo trick really shows that off.

A few years ago; the Kyosho PC1250 was pretty neat and still is, but this is in a different league altogether. If I ever win the lottery I'll probably spring for one. Oh wait; I don't play the lottery. Damn!

To Chuck and Randy; a review of the definition of "animate" might be in order?

That is really cool. I bet a CCM 390 would be pretty nice too!
