I finished getting my 9W put back together with the new parts I built this past month.
I also think I have the swing motor drive fixed. I replaced the drive with a different one
and now it swings BOTH directions smoothly. Before it only swung to the right smoothly.

KERST, No blocking under the 4100 while it awaits loading on the lowboy?Teeth

Just my luck, I have been out her working for the last month and a half staying only a half mile from the fair grounds and its my weekend to go home. Looks like a great show. I talked a few guys that are staying at my hotel that were setting it up and sound like I will be missing a great show.

It was good to see you guys again and I was impressed as usual. It was a good show but I think I missed some things by going on Sunday instead of Saturday. I liked the Marion Shovel but his crowd setup was a little questionable. I could be wrong but I don't remember Marion using a dual dipper arm and cable crowd setup.

Here are a few of the pictures I took.

This one's for you Modelman

We had a few boulders to deal with.

Saturday morning I watered the roads down but it was a bit tacky till it soaked in.

Man that stuff sticks to my shoes:D

We are starting to uncover the coal seam.

Stevie's 990 is just about on top of it.

Finally paydirt! Ben came over to help clean some of the dirt away.

Carefully pull the dirt off of the seam.

Smallhaul came over with his fleet to start loading out some coal.

We finally get paid for our work.

Stevie back up top benching behind my dragline.

Wooden truck lowboy and excavator.

Overview of our play area. Kerst's fine crane models in the foreground.

Thanks for posting all the photos! It looked like a great show to check out and it's obvious people put a lot of work into their models!

Here's the actual machine he based his model on:

It does have the dual dipper sticks, but uses a geared crowd mechanism. Maybe the cable crowd was the most practical solution he decided to go with...
