Mammoet moved this 450T piece at the weekend. it went about 4 miles from Ellesmere Port docks to Stanlow Refinery in the UK.









It was really impressive to see. The green SPMT's were hired-in from Roll-It of Belgium. (NZG recently did models of them)

Weldex's LR11350 is putting it in I believe. Parts of the crane have been arriving at Stanlow this week. I'm working at Growhow next door to the refinery at the moment.

Great pictures, is one lump of metal to be transporting by road!

I'd assumed that the PTC was doing it....

This is worrying - what have I missed going in? I dread to think.

I was under the impression that the shut down was later in the year.

It was Ulf. I got up at 0325 to be there for 5 - glad I did as my night shots were good due to it being flood-lit.
