Thanks Chris! I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out. I think the next one may be a little bit better.

As promised, here's the other 8T. This one will be for building road and will get a stump splitter once I get some photos from a friend. Here's a shot of the landing after logging all weekend without any trucks running. Trying to get a good load count to call in enough trucks to make some room in the am. More later. Thanks for looking.

Looks good Jason. Where do you get the styrene at? I want to start building sweeps and such. I tried brass, but I fubar'd more than I ever got built!

Our host sells styrene but I mostly get it from the local hobby shop. If I was better at measuring I would mail order the stuff but I like to be able to look at it. For the sweeps I actually put brass solid inside styrene tubing. That way it holds its shape.

Thanks. I've seen it here on the site, but like you said, I'd much rather be able to look at it to get the size right. I bought a bunch of brass at a hardware store last winter, but we dont have a hobby shop where I live. Half the areas I work in are little jerk water towns and your lucky to find a decent restaraunt, let alone a hobby shop!

I know what you mean. Even with the size of city were next to I think the next hobby shop that actually sells styrene is about an hour away.

Another good looking dozer bud. I know what you guys mean about styrene.. and brass. tried sweeps with brass-once- never agian. i usualy use .100x .100 square stock for sweeps, but that is the only size i can rember. everything else i wold rather look at in the hobby shop. Our closest hobby shop here is a 2 hr drive down south. there use to be one here in town but they never would replenish there stock. Drove by the other day and there closed now. Well keep up the models i need to satr doing some stuff just havent had the time latley. Chris

I'm going to try and ride with him one of these days.

Keep p the trucks. Chris Yes, I need to find some low profile singles so I can build a steering rear axle for this thing. Even some standard 24.5s for steers and drops would be sweet.

Chet Thanks Chet! I think it's the best sounding ISX around. PER has some really nice trucks in their fleet.
