All,
You will see that all WSI models posts (previous to the last one) that had pictures linked to the WSI Models website no longer show the pictures. Despite DHS fixing this the first time, WSI have took it upon themselves to change their site, meaning the URL for the pictures has also changed! The only way to fix this that I know of would be to go back and edit each post so that the pictures show again. Not difficult but very time consuming so I will not be doing it!

Thanks,

Paul R

Thanks Paul...they are dipsticks. You would have to be their greatest Ambassador and they would be foolish to make it difficult for one not to help them advertise their product which you have done very well since day one.

Your postings of WSI models over the past few years have been very much appreciated by me and I cannot express my thanks enough.

Fabio: I saw the news about WSI making American trucks. First since when is DAF an American truck. Secondly, the Peterbilt and Kenworth they are making are over the road container versions with sleepers. I would have rather seen heavy equipment haulers. They should make trailers for their KW 500B and the Western Star. Those two models are fantastic. Hook up a Sword Rogers flip axle to the red KW 500B. The king pin fits. You end up with a monster looking rig. CAW

WSI would been better producing some C500 twin steers & tri drives or other heavy haulers.

1- Daf is not an American truck, but it belong to Paccar Company.

Daf in 1996 was bought by Paccar Company (Kenworth and Peterbilt) thereby assuring DAF’s future, because from the 90's Daf had economical problems.

In 1987, DAF merged with the Leyland Trucks division, with a new name DAF NV. (Leyland DAF in the UK and in the other coutries as DAF); becuse the difficulties in the British market, DAF NV went bankrupt in 1993.
A new company, DAF Trucks, appeared in the Netherlands as a result of a management buy-out of the Dutch operations and in the 1996, PACCAR acquired DAF Trucks.

2- I don't know which modell will be make in the future, but Wsi will make new american trailers from the end of this year.
Maybe Wsi could make it, because in the Ocean Traders model range there are many heavy load transport.

3- I suppose the new "american" trailer would be suitable about KW 500B and the Western Star.

Thanks Fabio: I did not know about DAF being a part of Paccar. I certainly hope WSI makes an American lowboy. CAW

Awesome news about the American trucks. I've always been a little jealous of the staggering variety in the European WSI trucks. So many brands, colors, liveries, and setups!

You're welcome.

The majority part of American truck manufactures are own by European ones.

Peterbilt, Kenworth, Daf = Paccar Company

Freigthliner, Western Star, Misubishi-Fuso = Mercedes Benz

Volvo (USA), Mack, Renault Trucks (Europe) = Volvo AB Trucks (Volvo bought Renault trucks in the 2001; Renault Trucks bought Mack trucks in the 1990)

Light truck:

Dodge Promaster = Fiat Ducato (MY 2013)
Dodge promaster city = Fiat Doblò (MY 2015)
Fireightliner / dodge Sprinter = Mercedes Benz Spriter (2001-2010)
Ram 750 = Fiat Strada (no USA)

International/Caterpillar on road trucks:

engine Maxforce 11 and 13 are built by an agreement between International and Man (Caterpillar sold it under its own brand as the CT13, but it isn't a Cat engine.)
