You won't be disappointed Steve!

If you makes you feel any better, I (for reasons unknown) found your Sarens LG photos a couple of weeks back. At about the same time, a good friend told me he was selling his version for a reasonable price so, thanks to seeing your photos and reminding me of it, I bought it! Hope to get it next year.......... Wink

Bugger!

Looks very nice, love the livery.

Haven't opened mine yet but was hoping it would have the old rocker style outrigger feet. Ah well.

Mark.

Finally had some time to do a bit more, but still have the hook to reeve. Haven't yet decided whether to add the Derrick now or wait and do it later when my model room finally gets done.

Nice! Thanks for sharing. I like how the A-frame pendants were always in motion before you got the boom on.
Put the derrick on now, before you rig the hook block. Easy enough to move into the model room with the derrick on - more so than with the luffer.

Thanks John - my flash gave up on me a few months ago and I've been too tight to buy another so I have to use long exposures, hence the swinging pendants! But it adds to it I guess Wink

Luis,
They are just for looks and will not hold the A frame, though to YCC's credit there are small magnets in them so that they stay with the A frame as you move it up and down.

I managed to get the Derrick rigged up over the weekend. I swear it takes me longer to rig this model than it would Gaz to rig the real thing!

Pictures are a bit crap as they are taken inside without a flash Sad

Just waiting on the hook now.
