Yep, I also saw two ads posted by him; the first one and then later the second one with prices lowered.

Too bad!

Man, I am just sick of people in general.

Back when I was young, you just got your a#% kicked if you acted inappropriately.

Just to be clear, it wasn't pricing that was the problem. It was him lying about the ads, the paypal issue and some other jibberish in some of the emails tha didnt sit well with me. Then the vulgar emails after I respectfully declined to continue the deal.

Oh yea, he didn't just inspect it as he stated in the ad. He's had it fully assembled for those interested...

That is so wrong, I don't know why some people have to act the way they do. Obviously the guy didn't get his model sold but nothing was exchanged so there was NO loss. I do not know why some have to turn like that and do things that might come back and bite them.

If I were the dealer I would most likely say "No problem dude, have a nice day!" The follow up e-mails are not appropriate in any way what so ever. Too bad some just don't have the respect for others like most of us have (especially us "old school" guys).

I'm a kid at heart, so I will play with any model construction vehicle from 1:87 scale to 1:1 scale!!!!

Sounds like another case of Mr. Gibbs and his raunchy emails he sends out to people. I try to stay away from buying off the classifieds, usually sell in there-have had many great dealings and plenty of positive feedback from them too.

I don't think Jake is Gibbs or BCM. He bought a trailer from me. Smooth transaction.

I never thought that he was Justin or Bob. When I asked him about the second ad, he said he didn't post one. Then he said someone else posted it with the same email. Then he said he deleted the second ad which he couldn't have done if someone else had truly posted it. I just don't understand his reason for lying about it. Also he sent an email claiming not to know how to use paypal, another email talking about his past transactions using paypal.

There were somethings that didn't make sense, so I decided to not buy from him. He could have left it alone, and I would have never posted this and went on with my day. Instead he acted like a child with his follow up emails so I thought others should be aware of how he can act.

That's weird bro. Took him 20 minutes to send payment to me. Sucks that we can't trust our own.

i have dealt with jake many times and had not 1 single issue,

as for sending invoices, not every one is a pro at it like some people claim to be, i have used paypal since 2004 and never send a invoice, and as for paying useing personal, it avoids paypal fees, its not a scam

investigate before speaking chevyman

Explain his reasoning for lying about his ads!

Also he said he didn't know how to send an invoice but had incurred fees from doing so in the past. He contradicts himself.

I never said he did anything wrong. I however wasnt comfortable after some of his comments and decided to pass. I wanted everyone to know how he acted afterwards. You are standing up for him but are failing to adress my three issues. What investigating do I need to do?

i asked about that, and he was not aware he had posted 2x , heck i posted 2 time in a row same exact ad, is that a federal crime?

soon as i realized it i deleted one, as jake did

there is such a thing as being safe, and being paranoid.

for as much as i have got from jake i would trust him more than most peole i deal with through these forums..

His ads were for the same models but were worded differently which means he took the time to write both. So it was not a double post. Sounds as though YOU need to investigate before speaking.

Bingo baby...I've thought the same thing for a while now. His thread about Sunkist Diecast sealed the deal.
