Those are indeed splendid pictures of the scrapers. But I just don't see how a Smith scraper trailer could haul a CAT 357 dual engine scraper. I would think you would need much more axles under that monster. I have a picture of one being hauled by a 2x2x2x2, yes 4 2's. I am certainly no expert, but it makes sense to me to have more axles underneath that beast. Ken Wheeler, chime in here please. I don't want Steve to jump on me. CAW

Craig I can’t jump I have a shattered tibia. I would also like to know the answer on the 357, I guess you could haul it after midnight.

Felipe very nice, I have the Mcoy version of the Cat 666. That is the only CCM scraper I have and it is a nice model.

Love the 660.You can see the next generation of scrapers in that original, and still the biggest.

I am assuming the 666 has a bigger capacity than the 660.It certainly looks 'beefier'.Is the 660,or the 666 the biggest scraper?Every big scraper, since, has had a smaller number.

Felipe that looks a lot better than the 666 from CCM. The tractor portion has more detail, and the scraper portion it seems from the picture is larger than the one I have. I can only assume that the RRmodels 666 is much more expensive than the CCM version.
That is a great looking scraper.

For sure one of the best of my collection! We can't compare with diecast CCM models.

modelmaniac, back in 1975 the 666B had 950hp and capacities were struck 40cy and heaped 54cy. The 660B had 550hp and the same capacities as the 666B. The 657B had 950hp and the capacities were struck 32cy and heaped 44cy. The 657G has 600hp and the capacities are still the same. So the 666B was the biggest one, except for what individual contractors or Cat dealers came up with on their own. I believe in 1978 or 1979 the 657B had a 550hp which had dropped about 350 horses.

Felipe that is a monster, if possible can you put the entire scraper collection on your dining room floor and climb up onto your dining room table and get a shot of the entire fleet. That would be one memorable photo.
