Speaking of jibs, I am not a crane guy but is there one for the LTM1750? Wanting to buy the Digging & Rigging 1750 and would like to get a jib for it.

Not one made specifically for 1750. but the 1500 jib does fit the 1750 jib even if some of the configuration might not look quite like real life.

I have copied these from the Hansebube forum and are photos taken by Burkhardt:

Obviously the tip has been painted for the Thömen.

What are the 2 wire ropes for that are attached to the main boom head?

Tim,
I am not convinced they should be attached to the boom head like that, but could be wrong. Either way, when rigged they are not used. But when the luffer is broken down for transport, these cables keep the luffing struts together so the complete unit can be lifted on/off the trailer safely.

As I understand, the ropes that WSI provided, did not do exactly what the real ones do.So Burkhardt replaced them, with ones he made specifically for the task.As we know, they would look really good,on a truck,as a transport dio.Burkhardt is the king of such things.

Yes I have to take back what I said. After a bit of reaserach I can see that the Thömen LTM 1500-8.1 luffer does indeed have this cable connected to the main boom.

It does look(to me)the ropes may be fixed to the boom of the crane, when in operation. Then removed, and put in a transport mode.Either way, that crane looks really good, with a luffer!Teeth

sorry to hear you still haven't gotten yours. Which is why i place a lot of my orders from euro. The price for shipping is higher but still usually cheaper and faster.
The jib is definitely out already for months now on euro sites so if you are not getting yrs yet, i recommend sourcing from euro sites.
