That's what I figured Ken. If so, you got to decide whether to take it off it's stand and match it with something. But those Fire Replicas are made in such low numbers, they could go up in value. If one were to do that, I would think an older Rogers three axle beam. Or a wobble wheel might work. I would love to see a custom one made for that B81. Steve in Rhode Island has gone nuts over that Fire Replicas version of the B81.

I have several lowboys from Don Mills Models I plan to utilize behind the Mack B81 from Fire Replicas

Fire Replicas are museum quality trucks made of resin with photo etched and machined/cast brass and stainless steel parts. There is a reason they come in a display case, they are fragile. I have an Autocar Chicago FD Rescue Truck. Don Mills trailer (that Randy posted) is a very good choice. The winch/ cable neck trailer such as the Talbert, Hyster lay down trailer, Rogers, and the fixed neck flush deck and double drop were the trailers used with the B81.

Mark Kamp (Sid Kamp Inc, Mokena, IL) got the ball rolling in making the B81, using theirs as the prototype. Below is a picture of theirs with a Talbert Jo-Dog and 60 ton trailer. The other picture is of a Hyster laydown trailer.

The Fire Replica Mack B-81 tractor version looks quite awesome. The Mack B-81 is quite the classic. I do wish a dump truck version would come out in 1:50 with a heavy-duty steel "manhattan special" style dump body, of the kind I saw often back in the day in NYC. I can wish, can't I?

Thanks Q. Yes, the Autocar rolls, and no, I left it in the case. I did take one out and do a little work on it for a friend of mine. Very fragile.
