Fantastic progress, and that's no mean feat - 14lbs with a luffer at that radius!

At the cabin Fever Expo in Lebanon, PA I had the chance to use the Demag TC500 to erect the luffing jib of the Liebherr LTM1800.

I'm impressed by the height of the Demag... so I also digged up the old topic to check what was that height again Wink
72 meters boom, that's indeed around the same as the LTM 1800 in this configuration Cool

Yes, the Demag got 72 m of boom and the LTM1800 has 60 plus 28 m, so it is slightly higher. This hall is perfect, the ceiling is very high, so no problem using all the boom I have.

The one thing missing was the extra drum mounted on the boom when using both the derrick and the luffing jib. I managed to put the gear motor (60rpm) inside the drum. It fitted beautifully! Today was testing day.

It still needs some paint.

My goodness, that's incredible.

What do you cut your complex flat brass pieces with? Do you mill any of it?
