Hi Jack, thanks for the photo.
Would you be kind enough to post one or two more photos, especially showing the width of the tracks?.
I'm probably wrong but the model tracks *appear* a little wider than in some pictures I've seen of the real machine.
For me that wouldn't be a bad thing!.

Thanks for the link to the WSI website Paul - nice to see the product photos.
€165 is pretty steep IMO, although I'm still keen to hear what Ian (Cranes ETC) has to say about it.
Liebherr seem to be reinventing the wheel with their fancy new bucket design. I don't like the look of it, but that's just me.

There’s a few collectors that already have it and from what I’ve read, it’s been well received. I don’t doubt that some collectors and WSI will be eagerly anticipating Ian’s review though. For me I like it but it’s too big to transport as a whole and there’s no way to break it down into transportable parts, which is a shame but I can imagine requires a lot more engineering effort! But I do wish the CW block was removable like the Hitachi ZX870. I’m eagerly awaiting the AC700 from IMC and the LTM 1750-9.1 from WSI! Paul R

I'm partial for a good excavator and the WSI Liebherr R970 gives me enough confidence to buy the R9150.
Personally, I would have preferred if Conrad had made it(more solid) but I'm sure it'll be a great model.

For me that wouldn't be a bad thing!. The photos linked above are excellent. The real machine can be equipped with 500, 600, or750mm shoes. Maybe somebody with some spare time can get calipers on them and determine which of the three is represented on the model?

The photos are excellent but still don't quite show the full width profile of the tracks.
Nevertheless, they swayed me enough to order one.
It would be interesting to know which size of track has been modelled.

Is the 9150 a direct competitor to the Cat 6015? They look similar in size but I could be wrong.

Yes - the 6015B is slightly heavier than the R9150 but they are both in the 125-150t weight class. Paul R wrote:But I do wish the CW block was removable like the Hitachi ZX870 I was thinking this too. It seems that the R9150 has a lot of detail but lacks the features that made the ZX870 such an incredible model - the opening hatches and engine detail, and as you said the removable counterweight. As a tinkerer I'd be tempted to buy the R9150 and make these modifications to the model, however it'd be a shame to take a dremel to it!

The best news in BAUMA was in the Komatsu Shop, and the PC 4000 face shovel, made by NZG in scale 1/50. www.ec1000.net

Thanks for the photos - these are fantastic! That's the best pic I've seen yet of the 9150... and the valve block on that PC4000 looks awesome.

I'd have to check but don't think we are able to haul that here as it can be split. I am not a HH expert so could be wrong but I think both weight and height might come into play so the stick and CW as well as handrails would have to be removed. Cheers, Paul R
