Auxiliary outriggers
I spent the past couple of weeks fabricating the auxiliary outriggers. They are clearly needed for raising the more than 10’ of boom.

The next step is building a trailer for the counterweights and the boom. I choose a typical trailer used in the 70’s and 80’s for this purpose in Germany. It is a 4 axle Scheuerle trailer. I started a month ago and made some good progress.

The crane is basically done, just needs painting. Painting will be quite a job, because it means taking everything apart , a lot of sanding, priming and painting. then it will need to go back together again. It is a good summer job, because I can set up a spray-booth outside.
