Video of a Hitachi ZX 870-3 STC demolition excavator in the center of Dusseldorf (D). It has a working height of 50 meter and can handle 4,2 tons tool. It is working on a very complex demolition project of demolition contractor Laarakkers Ruckbau und Recycling GmbH.

That poor operator. I bet he goes home with torticollis. I am also amazed at how many thousands of gallons of water they use.

The demolition is middle in the center of the city of Dusseldorf. So no any dust is allowed. So lot of water is needed. It is not America war the smash buildings down on a rough way.

The Hitachi ZX 870-3 has also a triple boom. For heavy demolition. Then it can handle a 10 tons tool. The triple boom can also be used in combination with extension. Then it can work on 32 meter heigth with 7 tons tool.
