I try not to post any Ebay auctions, but I happen to come across this one that ended this Friday. Completely unbelievable that there was a bidding war on this loose First Gear Mack Granite. I do not think it is even that rare. http://www.ebay.com/itm/First-Gear-Mack-Granite-Dump-truck-Red-diecast-1-50-/232093021119?hash=item3609d273bf%3Ag%3AprsAAOSw8w1X5eVA&nma=true&si=QKFf3sVf73XBTHe3l2eVgxUVsNI%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

I saw that too. There's another ad with a Firstgear truck and tag trailer with a crazy high number as well.

I smell a rat. Many bidders with low feedback, No box on one truck. Common pieces? Shill bidding?????? Look at this one. Same seller http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mack-Granite-dump-truck-with-beaver-tail-trailer-1-50-scale-diecast-/232094874388?hash=item3609eebb14:g:fkcAAOSwAuZX6HV8

guys this looks fake. No way all these bidders would all have their feedback in 2 digit numbers. I would avoid this seller

I did just notice but some trucks have custom third "Tri" Axles but they should still not be fetching the money that where sold for. I think a friend of the seller must be using another account to run the price up once someone places the first bid.

Interesting. I don't know the values on the trucks, so I can't add much to that part of the discussion. However, I saw that same behavior on the NZG Liebherr 855 used crane she had listed. I stopped watching it when the price went higher that what I could pay to purchase a brand new one on-line.
Also, interesting is that the same crane has been re-listed with a comment that the winner didn't pay. Also, now she has changed her bidding so that only users with "linked" PayPal accounts can bid.
I don't know if someone is working to run up the prices, or if someone was just screwing around with her by running up the bids and not paying.

Look at one of their newest listings. Shame, shame, shame.

Are those sword models really 1/50? I have the Freightliner century class "1/50" scale truck and it is not 1/50 scale, more like 1/55. Kinda pissed off about it.

Dang, and thats a fairly new auction. Like I said, something does not seem right here. There should not be that many low feedback bidders gravitated to what this user is selling. Now granted some people like myself are still new to Ebay (I've only been on there for like 2 years and I have 45 stars) but I would still steer clear from these types of auctions and sellers.
