Excellent photos Jack! Glad you got to see the AK680-3 I got to see it a few years back at Ferrybridge and it was an awesome sight! Also cool to see the 500 stretching out like that and at such a low angle. Interesting perspective with the fisheye on the GoPro! Paul R

Thanks very much Paul. I remember your pictures of the AK very well. I think your pictures are what made me fall in love with the crane! It was an interesting project to see. Worth the drive down. Just a shame the new bridge was in the way for better photos of the AK. Cheers mate Heavy Cranes

Great photos Jack good to see the the AK680 still working hard worked with it back in the early eighties when it was with Hewden Stuarts what a machine it was then, still is.

Great photos too Jack, as mentioned I like the one with the Sarens 1500 stretched across the river. I would interested to know what his pad pressure reading was when lifting the 4t at that radius.

This may interest some: ALE's Trojan Heavy Haulage unit, This thing is huge!! And a couple of quick pictures from last Sunday at Catthorpe of Sarens 6000SLX lifting 185 ton, 65m long Bridge beams. Heavy Cranes
