No Gav, This was only one like this, one painted red with a high cab went to Chile, it was electric drive I think, the third was used as spares at the factory for the other two units, I remember when the RH300 and the 170 trucks were introduced as a teenager, lots of press, it was unfortunate that economic conditions worked against more being built, as far as I can find out this machine was buried on site, I met someone on a trip to the model show at Ochten many years ago who told me his dad had worked at the mine and this is what befell it, may have been cut up, don't know for sure, I was lucky to have the model and badgered R. Outram at OHS for years/months, I waved cash under his nose get it. Nice model but very fragile, if I ever sell it will be to someone in the UK as I would hand carry it to them, it has no real box. Some good came out the RH300 programme as O&K then designed the RH200 with its Tri-Power front end and it sold like hot cakes with the very first one coming to England along with CAT 789 trucks working for BUDGES if memory serves. I'll try and find a Picture of my 300 next to a 200. regards Kevin

Love it! Amazing looking model - a lot of hard work gone into that. I wonder if he started with an RH120 and built onto that

No Jamie, its mostly resin with a bespoke metal undercarriage and metal tracks, lot bigger too, I love the model and along with my custom 996's from Julian its my favourite piece, I'll take a picture of the 300 next to a 120 and you can see the difference. Kevin PS, This is the 300 next to a 200

HA. I wouldn't have expected anything but class in this thread.
Fantastic piece for sure. Although the 200 would out dig it easy.
One of the 'Must have' pieces for any hardcore O&K fan.

Jamie, don't know how long you've been around this hobby but two things....one) OHS built some very limited number large mine pieces using resin and white metals and went for a mint spanning roughly two to four years I'm thinking roughly twelve to fourteen years ago.....two) with your prowess at building and detailing perhaps you could kit bash up one or scratch build a 300.

Hi Cutter, not been around much, still here but not very active, daughters getting married really crimps the old budget, don't have room for much more anyway, my lady has moved in which means I'm relegated to one room, I'm going to try and take some pictures at the weekend to show Jamie a 300 up against a 120, if I had the cash I would got Mr Keim to give me a 120, 200 and 300 collection but that would have broke the bank. I'm sure I saw on here a Collection from Australia of such, breathtaking stuff, I don't know if he(Keim) still has a booth at the Dutch model show that used to be at Ochton but it was always the first place I went to look for when I attended.
Regards Kevin.

Kevin Yes children do factor greatly into interfering with hobby plans and yes Mr. Keim's work is top shelf!
