Last weekend there was an open house family day at the new Intel plant being built south of Phoenix,az. Currently the home of the Sarens SGC-120. Amazing to see from a distance but Stunning up close. It is unbelievably massive. Fellow forum member David and myself Aerial image I was sent by a co-worker Busy site for cranes, Manitowoc 18000, 999, 888, M-250, M-2250. Demag CC-2600

All of the other cranes at this site are Maxim. There are several M-2250's on site, short boom heavy lift configuration for lifting the pre-fab trusses on to SPMT trailers and with Luffing Jib.

Bryan, thanks for posting these photos. Up to now, I haven't seen a photograph of this crane that truly shows its sheer size. Talk about reach; this crane could reach into the next county!!! I also love the fixed jib configuration. It has beautiful geometry. Oh, if I only had the space and $2250.00!!!!

I was lucky to have joined Bryan on this field trip, let me tell you this crane is "Big". I had hoped to set foot on the beast but there was a fence around it, It was interesting how many people came to view it at the open house, most were family's of the workers that work on the site and those who work at Intel. This crane made all others at the site look 1/50 scale , pretty cool, thanks Bryan!

Yes you're right for sure a fixed unit! I'm sorry I thought I read somewhere it would have a luffer for it. I thought maybe they came up with a new style luffer w/ just a single mast. The more I read up on this rig the more my mind is boggled!

What a machine. How big would this model be?
As Mammoet says "SIZE DOES MATTER". Slowly collecting Mammoet 1:50 scale stuff. Mainly cranes!
