Why is "phonetically" spelt with a "ph"?
... It's better to be silent and thought a fool, then to speak up and remove all doubt
The complex of Newgrange was originally built between c. 3100 and 2900 BC,[2] meaning that it's aproximately 5,000 years old. According to Carbon-14 dates,[3] it is more than 500 years older than the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt, and predates Stonehenge by about 1,000 years.

Are there any real machines with the grey coloured booms out in the mines? I only know of photos with white booms. Jan

Wonder how many will end up out the door in this scheme before they go yellow. I have 35mm pics of an RH170 painted factory yellow at a customers (HWE) request, only one in the world apparently.

OK, first off, here is a picture a friend took of a new RH170B at a coal mine west of Edmonton Alberta. Gav, I believe this is the machine you were referring to...... But there is at least one more RH170 in yellow.....this one is at a coal mine in Alaska. Brian

Greasemonkey wrote:Brian Yep, that is the one Brian, reckon that is one of my pics from there actually! I assembled those trucks in 96 Best way to match diggers to trucks is what ever the truck is rated to carry (and in this case 195 tons) the digger needs an operating weight of double that and it will then be able to wield a bucket in most dirt that gives a 5 pass match to the target which is very acceptable in contractor circles. In the case of the RH170 it had an operating weight in the order of 370 tons so just a tad shy but close enough

Gents, I know of a couple of RH series excavators in both shovel and backhoe config.owned by Aveng, {Moolman Bros, mining contractors} in S.Africa, that were factory painted in yellow{close to Cat tint} with black graphics some years ago. RH 90-C shovel,RH120-E backhoe and RH200 shovel{electric} to be exact. That was some time back, so they may well have others too. Thanks for posting the pics of those models Tim...I see a few details and parts missing that are present on the original Terex/O&K models!!! Brian C

Brian,
I understand your concerns.
Unfortunately this was a BUCYRUS issue with the quality not TWH. TWH were given a budget to work with and have done what they could to replicate the new livery under the direction of Bucyrus. These models were really only a promotional piece for Bucyrus to get their brand onto the Terex machines and into the market place as soon as possible.
We all know that the original TWH models are virtually perfect and there is never issues with the quaility.
